WHO IS A SINGLE LADY? A single lady could be easily said to be of marital age but not yet married or one who is divorced. NOTE; no lady wishes or chooses to remain single but fate has its way of manipulating lives.
Why does society read meanings when they see a single lady who is of marriageable age but not yet married? Why do they point every accusing finger at her? Most of these single ladies are homely and virtuous but victims of circumstances, they don't equally understand the game behind their singlehood, and it remains a mystery to them! Do we know what it takes to be single with nobody to share our ideas or dreams with? nobody to make input in your goals, nobody to play or laugh with? Yet even amid your challenges, your rainy days you still say no to folks out there who want to trade with your body. I think some single ladies need to be applauded, they deserve to be encouraged and respected.
You'll hear a lady say, "I am not ready for marriage yet" and you believe? It's an irony! They are 100% ready but do not want to give people the impression of being desperate or searching. The fear of society making a caricature of them confined them to this. It's so unfortunate that single ladies are degraded in society. The married ones see them as threats, they disassociate from them, forgetting that even their fellow married ones can perform wonders. Society labels single ladies with demeaning names. Someone will work up the courage, so nonchalantly, and make sexual advances at them. They are not regarded, your myopic mind tells you that singles are bed warmers and so you go around disrespecting them. They take advantage of their single status by insulting them knowing they have no spouse to fight for them or defend them. Can you reel out those same invective words on a married woman? Nope because of the fear of their husband's reaction. Are we aware that there's no single lady who cherishes her single status? Then why add more to their plight?
To some of you who derive pleasure in antagonizing the singles, why? Is everything well with you? No! Then why use the singles to console and forget your anguish? Also to some married women who specialize in making a mockery of single ladies, how rosy is your marriage? Stop using your marriage as a yardstick to mock the singles around you, face your marriage, and work on restoring your home! If you can't encourage or inspire that single lady close to you, then stop using your mockery strategy to depress and demoralize her into retreating from her vision. To society, stop branding single ladies as bed warmers. Most of them are far from it.
Also, let's point this out clearly. If you're a single lady, don't be too close with someone's spouse or male friend, avoid them. The more closeness the more misconception from the eyes of people. Singles, if your girlfriend gets married, withdraw your steps from her home unless she invites you. Note this, most married men get threatened to see their wives around their single friends, so don't wait to be called to order, else you'll be so depressed and downcasted. Let's learn to constantly discipline ourselves to earn respect from people who know our worth.
Single ladies be strong, keep forging ahead, and never give room for gossip and mockers to oppress your mindset. Some of them still envy you even with your single status, their mission is to get you intimidated and drained from looking your best and pursuing your aspirations in life. They expect that as singles, you should go around wearing a gloomy expression on your face, the reason they keep venting their anger to oppress you each time they see you smile. Spring up, dust your fears, get a glamorous look, and be happy! Remember to always look good with positive vibes and energy. If you must make friends, make friends with people who can inspire you, avoid people with negative energy, and don't ever bow to the pressure of societal norms.
